12-13-09 - Cytori Therapeutics (CYTX): The Perfect Chart

After doing my daily stock scans, I figured I'd do another "perfect chart" post. My last perfect chart selection, American Lithium Minerals (AMLM.OB) tanked shortly after I posted about it. Remember, these perfect chart stocks aren't necessarily sure fire buys, but represent stocks that you might want to follow due to the strong upward trends.

The Perfect Chart: Cytori Therapeutics (CYTX)

Cytori Therapeutics, Inc. develops, manufactures, and sells medical technologies to enable the practice of regenerative medicine. The Company’s commercial activities are focused on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in Europe and Asia-Pacific, and stem and regenerative cell banking (cell preservation) worldwide. Its product pipeline includes the development of new treatments for cardiovascular disease, spinal disc degeneration, gastrointestinal disorders, liver and renal disease and pelvic health conditions.

Cytori's initial run about a month ago coincided with a press release announcing that the company had completed its enrollment in a 70-patient, international breast cancer reconstruction study called RESTORE 2. The study is evaluating the use of cell-enriched fat grafting to restore functional and cosmetic deformities in women who have undergone partial mastectomy for early breast cancer. Interim results were scheduled to be released 12/12/09 at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. In the past month while waiting for the results, CYTX has basically doubled. See the chart below for this phenomenal run:

As one might have expected, the results of the study released this weekend were highly positive. The tests demonstrated that cell-enriched breast reconstruction achieved a high rate of patient and physician satisfaction and improvements in overall breast deformity in lumpectomy patients.

The question now is where does the stock go from here? Breast cancer and the reconstructive aspects of it has a massive worldwide market. So, one might initially think that the stock should continue to rise after such great results. However, this scenario also sets up perfectly for a classic "sell the news" outcome. If the stock continues to run Monday on high volume late into the afternoon, it could be poised for new highs. If there's a huge sell-off, consider it the "perfect short".

  1. My Monday morning stocks to watch are BGEM (momo and weekend hype) and KGRI (dilution bouncer).

    ReplyDelete
  2. NEXM going nicely up, extremely bullish chart, reverse merger news pending.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Bighoper, we are on the same wavelength. I bought NEXM about 30 minutes ago for the exact same reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  4. NEXM chart looks identical to the Thursday and Friday chart last week of SNSS. If it follows the same pattern, NEXM should at least hit 50 cents today before falling back.

    ReplyDelete
  5. CYTR may also be ready to go soon.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Tuesday stocks to watch AIM (low floater with nice quarter), BGEM (great move yesterday and huge news afterhours), and ANYT (momo and buyout news afterhours).

  7. Card, don't you prefer stocks that are in the penny range and then EXPLODE for multi-baggers? Penny stocks have the potential to be 5 or 10 baggers very quickly while stocks over a dollar don't do that nearly as often.

Look at VRMLQ. It was .01 in August and now $20. $1000 in VRMLQ would be $2 MILLION dollars now!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. P, that's my preference, but they are so rare to find.

The dumping in KGRI looks to have finally stopped and it's starting to move big. Lots of people have been waiting on this one. There could be some nice money made on it today and tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Card, what's you target this week for KGRI?

    ReplyDelete
  10. It's hard to say P because it's been either dumped or diluted so much. To be honest, I don't have a legitimate target yet.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Card, great call! I wish I got in at .0069! Now at .008. This will probably hit .01 today or tomorrow. KEEP THOSE GREAT CALLS COMIN!!

  12. Guys,

any thoughts on AMFI? Very nice news on Monday. Volume is increasing and there may be a strong short-covering rally (check shortsqueeze.com). I bought a sizeable stake between 0.6 - 0.7, hoping for a double or even more.

    ReplyDelete
  13. How do you guys interpet this on AMFI? Is 12% of the float shorted considered high?

  14. AMFI, looks very similar to SNV to me. It should continue to rise, but it'll probably get a little bumpy after today.

P, most would consider 12% short interest in this market environment to be fairly high (it wouldn't have been high at all about year ago though). It all depends on whether the market is in a bullish or bearish cycle.

    ReplyDelete
  15. But Card how do you know WHEN those shorters on AMFI will cover their position?? That will result in a flood of buying that wil drive the price up but WHEN? How long will they hold?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I got in AMFI at .771 because I like the way it's moving slow and steady. I will get a nice profit EOD for sure don't you guys think?

    ReplyDelete
  17. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  18. P, the answer to that question is a market mystery. Generally, shorters use technicals and moving average breaks to decide when to cover, but there is no sure fire way of knowing.

AMFI has moved from 48 cents to 78 cents the past few days without taking a break. I'm just not sure how much left it has without really big volume.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Bighoper, AMFI was a great call but a little late. Wish you would've called it here on Monday they we would reallly be sitting pretty. Did you have to have a PAID subscription at Shortsqueeze.com to find AMFI or not?

    GOOD LUCK TO AL

    ReplyDelete
  20. Guys, let me strongly disagree that AMFI's rally is over. Combine more than 2.5 million shares short with the average daily volume of just 300K and the great Monday news with more to come.
I did the same mistake with GTN and it went from $0.5 to $3.5 in October.

    Good luck

    ReplyDelete
  21. BigHoper can we at least close above .80 today on AMFI?

    ReplyDelete
  22. P, I don't know whether today, but I like the way it's moving. AMFI used to trade over $30 per share several years ago. I will probably take a closer look at it, because even if they dilute to raise more capital, the stock may still bring a great return on investment.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bighoper did you have to PAY for a membership at shortsqueeze.com to find out about AMFI? Otherwise HOW did you find out about it since you can enter thousands of stocks there to get the shorted shares info.

    ReplyDelete
  24. No, I found out about AMFI on www.thelion.com as one of Monday's top gainers, then I visited shortsqueeze.com

    ReplyDelete
  25. Guys, I'm hearing HPNN could fly!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. DCGN was crazy today. The news it released didn't appear to me to be all that special. I guess since there were no other major movers today, everyone decided to jump aboard this one and ride it higher.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Guys, get in HPNN now! There are upgrading to fully reporting pink status and news is coming on earning projections of the smoke free cigarettes!! This thing could REALLY explode! It's only .0015 now so get in at this low price! We could go to .02 or more!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Card,

    See the great PIR news?

It's painful to me! LOL. I was so VERY close to being rich becuase of you. So close! And with today's news, it hurts to see I would apparently have been even more rich.

Why didn't you stay with PIR?

Here's my story and how I found your stock blog:

Nobody's story here could be worse than mine! I try to smile!)

I had never been in the stock market before but always was on the lookout for money-making opportunities. When I heard Citibank had gone under $1 I began thinking that the stock market had hit a bottom and the bounce was going to be HUGE. When I saw Citibank bounce to $3 in no time, I KNEW I was right!

I quickly signed up for a trading account and began to look for a stock to buy. I had no knowledge of trading but KNEW it was time to get in BIG. I transfered 25 grand into my trading account.

My logic was not to try and pick a great stock. It was to get into something that had been run into the ground and had not come up yet. I can watch the market all day so I figured if I buy something at the bottom and it went up, I could SAFELY follow it as high as it would go with no worry becuase THIS time in March IS THE BOTTOM!

IT was supreme logic. I quickly did a search for "perfect stock" a I had no idea what to buy. The first thing that Google showed was this article on PIR!

    http://theperfectstock.blogspot.com/2009...

It was March 21st after the bell and my account had just funded with my 25 grand. I read the article about Pir One and agreed with it. I decided at Monday's open I was going to buy $25,000 worth of PIR.

I did not know how to even make an automated order yet, as I had just opened my account. I got up and was sitting at my computer at the open ready to press BUY! But I had told myself I was not going to pay more than 25 cents a share.

It opened at 31 cents. It had doubled since the day before. I was not going to buy a stock that had doubled over night. So I waited for my decided price of 25 cents.

There was just one incredibly fateful problem! I had promised I would take a senior citizen to the doctor that morning. I had 20 minutes to wait for my price before I had to leave! (Again, I did not yet now how to place an limit order and walk away.)

The volume was incredible that day. I waited for my 25 cents but time ran out and I had to leave to pick up the old man.

To my utter horror later that day I came home to see that PIR had dropped to my 25 cent price just 15 minutes after I left and stayed there for about 20 minutes before blasting off for the rest of the entire day! I went all the way to about 90 cents that day.

My plan would have been absolutely perfect. I woyuld have gotten in at 25 cents and would have been able to hold PIR all the way up to $5.40 (an now probably much higer with today's news)with ZERO worry since the first day would have put me securely into a safe zone that the PPS never came near again.

My 25 grand would have turned into over half a million $$$ in just 7 months!

    Oh well! Ouch!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Great story Frank! I felt like a fool for not sticking with PIR. I had been burned so many times over the years doing the "buy and hold" thing that I didn't have the guts to hang in there with my own selection. Hopefully, I'll find another one. I'm constantly looking.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Keep looking Card.

You want to hear the ULTIMATE HEARTBREAKER story?

VRMLQ was only .01 in August and in November it hit 20 BUCKS!! ONLY a thousand bucks in August would be 2 MILLION DOLLARS in JUST 3 MONTHS!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Card and guys,

what do you think about KMLD? It's a shell company/reverse merger play, which are usually the biggest percentage gainers. It was up 1500 percent during the day. Today's news release sounds pretty impressive and the float is probably very thin.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Bighoper, how did you find KMLD?

    ReplyDelete
  33. How low will Citi go?

Not a "perfect stock," but $3.20 is way too cheap for this company.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Tim, Citi is diluting significantly. $2.75 looks to be the number based on charts. If it goes below that, it could get real ugly.

Bighoper, KMLD is interesting particularly with only 50 million shares outstanding. At first glance it looks a little "scammy", but it could pop again since it has already done a technical retrace. I'll be watching it closely.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Card,

I bought KMLD at the end of the day at 0.01 after the retrace.
The stock moves extremely quickly and according to the RagingBull message board the actual float seems to be just 2 million, like VRMLQ :)
Yes, the PR looks very suspicious, but google search shows that the Beatles USB stick mentioned in the PR is a real product. The obvious question is, whether KMLD will acquire any rights to the product, or if this is just another scam.

    P,

I found KMLD by following one of Card's recommendations in his Stock Market Trading Tips blog, you should definitely read it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Bighoper, did you sell KMLD at the open? If you did, you made a killing!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Bighoper, did you see KMLD in one of the 4 news services Card recommended? Please let me know which of Card's trading tips led you to KMLD.

    Thanks and Happy Holidays

    ReplyDelete
  38. P, he's referring to the post about the "Advancers" section on Pinksheets.com.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Card,

If you find another PIR at the bottom, you will be getting a nice donation from me!

Hard to imagine that kind of luck again though!

I don't know if I'll ever get over missing that one!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Card,
I had a sell order at 0.09, but it was not posible to sell it, because there was no volume. MM's have now walked it down now to 0.03. I am thinking about trying to sell a half at 0.03 and hold the rest for the next news, if any...

    P,
yes, I was referring to the Advancers section on pinksheets.com

CMZ: looks like a reversal in the making, may soon follow DPTR on the way up. CEO added yesterday.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Bighoper, there is no bid and ask on KMLD. I called the broker and they said the bid is only .01. Are you able to sell your shares at all?

    ReplyDelete
  42. P,
I just tried to sell my 80K shares of KMLD at 0.02 and the order went through! Even though I've made a double, I recommend staying away from this company. The more I read about KMLD on I-hub, the more I'm convinced the company is a scam. But what do I know.

    ReplyDelete
  43. It looks like AHC may be about to break out again. The 6 month chart on it continues to look impressive.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Card,

could you please read today's e-mail from the CEO of TDGI (link below)? This company is either a 20-bagger from the current levels (see the letter), or another share-selling scam profiting from the greediness of those who fall in love with PRs about huge future revenues and end up holding almost worthless shares. IMO, the stock's behavior over this week, today included, very likely indicates dilution.

    http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=44677366

I'd very much appreciate your opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Has anyone seen AMFI today? Holy crap.

Card, Bighoper1 thoughts? Can it stay above a dollar?

    ReplyDelete
  46. al the killer,

I haven't had the time yet to read and analyze the news, but on Tuesday I bought a nice position in AMFI in the 0.60-0.70 range because of Monday's news, great chart and high short interest. I was hoping it would go up, but didn't expect the next news could hit so quickly. Thank you shorts!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Bighoper, I'm a skeptic of TDGI, but sometimes stocks like this can surprise you. In my opinion the best approach is to sacrifice 5 or 6 "bags" and monitor how the market values it. If the stock begins to climb steadily, it may be worth jumping in to it. I think the wait and see approach is best.

Al the killer, capitalization news is huge for a struggling bank, but the stock has more than doubled in less than a week. Monday should be another good day for AMFI, but if it starts to fade late in the day, it might be a good idea to take some off the table.

I've got my eye on an undervalued Chinese stock. If the technicals improve, you'll get a post on it soon.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Bighoper1, short sell interest still seems to remain high in this stock and others, and seems to account for the increase in pps late in the day along with the news.

Card, I think I'm going to hold onto this for awhile anyway, but we'll see what happens. I'm very much looking forward to your next post.

I've recently started exploring natural gas properties like QELP and AHD. Pretty confident they will continue to move upwards.

If you guys have any thoughts to add, feel welcome.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Card, you still have your eye on Travel America?

It was down another 10% and might drop to the $3 level you were eyeing.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Tim, TA looks like it fell off a cliff at the end of the day Friday. I think if it swiftly drops below 3 bucks early tomorrow, you could make 25% to 30% on your money in a day or two.

Look for CVRG to possibly double and hit 10 cents Monday. If the gap up is not ridiculous (say open no more than 6 cents), it should be profitable for a nice quick trade IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Card,

thanks for your view on TDGI and for the CVRG recommendation, looks great.

Other hot stocks to watch today are energy companies like QRCP, QELP, KAZ, DPTR and some others

    ReplyDelete
  52. QELP and AHD are both up HUGE right now. Arggh why didn't I buy??

    ReplyDelete
  53. Card, is CVRG safe to hold overnight or for a couple of days and it will definitely be over 5 cents?

    ReplyDelete
  54. al the killer, I almost bought QELP at the open today. I'm kicking myself.

P, I think CVRG is a pretty safe hold. The fact that the morning gap was filled and then bounced higher was actually very positive. It'll make the stock a lot more stable as oppose to a crazy run-up that I thought might happen. The technicals look great and a close over 5 cents would be really strong. As long as gold doesn't tank in the next few days, I think it's a pretty safe play.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Card, plus CVRG's chart is the best chart I've seen in a while. Almost all technicals look great.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Guys, WHAT is causing AMFI to explode like this? Is it simply the shorters are covering??

I had it at .77 last week and sold it because it dipped back into to .60s.

Could only 12% of the float shorted cause a 100% gain when those shorts buy to cover??

    ReplyDelete
  57. P, it's a combination of carryover momentum from Friday's news and short covering. It might not slow down until 2 bucks.

    ReplyDelete
  58. P,

I sold AMFI at 1.15 for a 90% gain at the beginning and walked away from the computer to run some errands. I should have held, the short squeeze is incredible!

    ReplyDelete
  59. It looks like they'll be a nice "Santa Rally" this week. The right opportunities could yield some huge gains.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Bighoper and Card, shouldn't one of us subscribe to shortsqueeze.com and post the picks here since they regularly give the most shorted stocks and we can get right before they start to cover and they go up around 100% every time!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Card, did you see MTPR? What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  62. P, it's not quite that simple. Most of the time, your most heavily shorted stocks continue to get pounded into the ground and you can end up losing a lot of money. Key events have to occur for a stock's sentiment to turn around and trigger the squeeze.

I've held MPTR for awhile and am currently "underwater" in it. I just couldn't sell it because it's just entirely too cheap. I felt at some point, it would get valued properly after all the preferred shares were converted to common shares.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Card, I said MTPR not MPTR. You must've meant MTPR since MPTR is not a symbol. MTPR is up 95% today so you must be feeling better!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Guys,

I have already recommended this stock before, but if you missed out on RODM when it was in the early stages of its run, then look at the current chart of LGDI and thank me later :)

It also seems that many regional bank stocks are going up on AMFI's momentum. Which have the best chance to survive? The current tax-selling period offers some great bargain prices. I'm looking at TSFG, BOFL (already bought), FSNM, HRZB, DEAR, TIBB.

    Any recommendations?

    ReplyDelete
  65. bighoper, I've had my eye on LGDI ever since you mentioned and I've witnessed it rise about 50% already.

You see more room to grow in the near future?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Tim,

definitely. It already traded over 4 dollars a two years ago. Great fundamentals, deals with both the Chinese and the Indians, great chart, increasing volume, big institutional ownership (inclusing G. Soros) coupled with the start of production and listing on Australian stock exchange in the first quarter.
I have been actually flipping this stock, but now I see that it would have been better just to buy and hold for the weeks and months to come.

    ReplyDelete
  67. The huge spike the last few days (+ 40%) has me a little weary that the run might be over.

I do agree with your analysis of this company, however, and will look to get in when there is a little bit of a pull back, maybe a 10% dip.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    ReplyDelete
  68. With that great news today that CVRG plans to INCREASE shareholder value for 2010 and only continue expanding WHY is it down so much??

    ReplyDelete
  69. Been away from the computer a bit today. A couple of observations:

ATHX is at 4 bucks with 16 million in volume already. I wouldn't be surprise to see it hit 6 bucks today.

CVRG is trading strictly on technicals. The "hang man" candle from yesterday predicted a down day. Look for it to hang near this area
for a couple of days, but it should come back.

AAC is crazy. I briefly saw it at 70 cents and considered a quick buy, but didn't have enough time.

LGDI has been a beast. 2 bucks looks to be the short term target on the next pullback (if there is one).

    ReplyDelete
  70. Card, I think we'll get a pullback in early January.

I think there is going to be a pretty serious pullback in the market as a whole when investors see disappoining December numbers for retailers. Best Buy has already come out and declared that they expect their Christmas sales to be disappointing. I think that will be a sign that the market has outran the economy and there will be a pullback.

Hopefully, LDGI is a part of that pull back so we can get in at a decent price.

I'm kicking myself for not getting in on LDGI when bighoper mentioned it (in the 80 cents range).

Also kicking myself for not buying some Travel America yesterday. I got greedy and hoped it would drop even further, but, instead, it shot up over 30% in 2 days.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Card, could you please give me an e-mail address where I could reach you? Thanks and Happy Holidays

    ReplyDelete
  72. Tim, I agree with you. This is clearly a Santa rally. I'm suspicious of its staying power.

    ReplyDelete
  73. P, it's cardlynn@yahoo.com.

ATHX is climbing methodically. At some point the shares will be gone and it goes parabolic IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  74. ATHX: So are you a buyer at $5.00? :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. ATHX seems to be out of gas for the day. I wonder how much higher you'll see it go with the holidays here. It's already been up HUUUUGE!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. ATHX, could have one more power hour surge, but I think at this point a better buy is HLCS. It's $1.02, but the chart says $1.50 could come pretty quickly once people take notice of it.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Card,

I've already bought HLCS for the very same reason.
I would also appreciate, if you and others could look at all those cheap regional bank stocks. I bought low floater BOFL at 0.62 (bottom was 0.50) and looking for some others. Some of these surviving banks may be huge gainers like AMFI.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Bighoper, despite the down day today (well it's up now), BOFL looks to be the best choice of the regional banks after quickly going over a few.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Thank you, I will probably be doing some more DD on them (read conference calls, etc.).

Look at the "scammy" KMLD, it seems that the first dillution bomb has been dropped. The price looks tempting, though...

    ReplyDelete
  80. Wow, look at TDGI. Someone on I-hub just posted an email from the CEO confirming that there'll be no dillution and that the CEO's brother is the governor of Kansas and the stock took off. This pink starts looking legit... Next 5-10 bagger?

    ReplyDelete
  81. It looks like HCLS just got a patent published. I wouldn't be surprised to see a PR on it after hours or in the morning. With the market looking for any reason to spike a stock, I'm tempted to load the boat here.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Where did you did you find the patent info Card?

I've looked but haven't found it.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Tim, see link below:

    http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7635562.html

    ReplyDelete
  84. Thanks, Card.

Isn't it possible that HLCS already had its spike as a result of the patent publication early today when shares were up to $1.13?

Or, are you thinking that good press after hours would be the driving force?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Thank you for the information, Card.
Moreover, HLCS's chart is looking great and the $1 support is holding.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Tim, my thought is that info leaked and insiders bought during that early surge. Most people won't know anything until there's a press release. It's always best to get out in front of the herd if possible and this looks to be an ideal scenario.

    ReplyDelete
  87. TDGI seemed to fade away fairly quickly after a nice spike. I don't think TDGI has the makings of an extended run but of course I could be wrong.

Film companies are too much of a risk and there have been some others than have bombed.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I almost bought NVLT at the open today with all the cancer drug hype, but I thought the run would be coming close to an end. I was wrong. It's starting to look like HEB when it tripled in 2 weeks about 6 months ago.

    ReplyDelete
  89. P,

you are probably looking at the July spike. It was just a speculation on possible reverse merger news which later proved to be untrue. The real merger news hit in December. The stock is up 73% today on late day surge and closed at HOD. Lots of DD is on I-hub.

    Good luck

    ReplyDelete
  90. Guys, I still invite you to check out the natural gas stocks.

Check out AHD and QELP. Very consistent. AHD has been over 10 percent/day the last week.

    ReplyDelete
  91. al the killer,
great call on AHD. What are the best nat. gas stocks to buy now, in your opinion?

    ReplyDelete
  92. AEZ, XTXI.

BEXP going to $20 next year.

SGY going to way over $30 in 2010.

    ReplyDelete
  93. al the killer, as far as Nat Gas plays I like SGY and XTXI.

Bighoper, I think BOFL is going to $1.00 today. I'm glad I bought a little yesterday.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Yes, BOFL and TSFG looking great. TIBB may be next.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I agree on SGY, I've been holding it since March, and should have bought before then. There are quite a few more out there. I'm with Frank on AEZ, solid stock.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Guys you may want to pick up some CVRG at these levels since it will only go up from here. Going back .05 and above is sure thing once the new year starts and maybe gets close to there this year again.

    ReplyDelete
  97. P,

thanks, I bought CVRG at 0.038 and looking forward to the next year. I hope you also bought TDGI - it's flying, still 5-10 bagger from here.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Bighoper, I was kind of leery of TDGI but I see how it's moving plus your recommendation so I got in. You sure were RIGHT ON with AMFI!! Happy Holidays buddy!

    ReplyDelete
  99. P, Happy Holidays to you, too.

Merry Christmas everyone and keep coming quality stock picks!

But don't we have another trading day tomorrow? :)

    ReplyDelete
  100. Yes Bighoper, a half day of trading tomorrow and it will most likely be totally dead except for maybe a very few like TDGI hopefully.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I missed the later part of the day (out doing some last minute Christmas shopping for my wife). TDGI certainly did explode. It may be the real deal.

The holiday half days like tomorrow are usually green so there may be some low volume moves in the morning.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Bighoper, can you please give me your e-mail address?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Bighoper, think TDGI will open higher tomorrow and then pullback pretty quickly or what? Do you see a good flipping opportunity tomorrow or is it better just to hold till .05 to .07 or even higher this week and even greater next week?

    ReplyDelete
  104. ZVTK

This stock traded on very heavy volume ALL of last week. TV infomercials begin today, MON 12/28.

  105. P,

I recommend holding at least until we get closer to the 0.049 resistance, lot of folks are still trying to get in on the groundloor. I'd be patient. JMHO

As for the e-mail address, I'll post it later.

    Good luck

    ReplyDelete
  106. Guys check out SKGO and how high do you think it'll go? It's really on fire.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I've been on the road most of the day coming back from visiting the in-laws for the holidays. So, I wasn't able to follow the market today.

I see TDGI is still moving. It maybe good to 5 cents.

P, I don't know a lot about SKGO, but penny merger and acquisitions plays have been on fire lately, but it's tough to chase after such a huge gain.

Dhippe, "lighting" stocks have also been on fire lately (ie. CREE, ZVTK, HSCO). I'm trying to find one that hasn't moved yet. Got any ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  108. Card,

I posted this on Google Finance yesterday
and I stand by it. As much as it's moved, ZVTK still under a penny and a half! They press released Mon a.m. better than expected sales last week and before the infomercials hit today.

There's a link to info on the LED company
    CYBL after my post.

    http://finance.google.com/group/google.finance.7157884/browse_thread/thread/50ce44f79efbea10?hl=en#

....for remainder of year into '10. I'm re-posting my opinion posted
on 12/22 and adding the following thoughts:

Tue will again open higher than close, continue to rise, then pull
back enabling a day trade and an overnight swing trade. Wash, rinse
and repeat for Wed and Thur. Why? In addition to continued momentum,
sentiment and anticipation of news releases on sales from infomercials
after 01/03, there is the possibility of announcement of change in OTC
trading status as referred to below.

Also, end of year tax consequences. I dipped my beak with the sale of
a small # of shares for some New Year's Eve cash. I'm content, as I'm
sure MANY others are, to wait for MUCH larger profits and deferral of
taxes on those profits until '11 tax year. If I'm right, then those
tax considerations should act as a restraint on sales. I also foresee
profit takers in other stocks taking a position in ZVTK for all of the
reasons stated below, resulting in continued high volume with buyers
    outnumbering sellers.

    Only 14 hours 'till verification!

"Sounds like several of us have suffered through false starts with
    this
    company. What's different now?

    1) Reduction in debt

    2) Call center up and taking orders.

I consider point #2 to be 'mission critical', and the fact that
they're giving the order takers a dry run before the infomercials air
    is reassuring.

    3) A bump in housing sales and the continuing emphasis on green
energy and energy efficiency should reinforce the move toward CFL,s
with or without ionic capabilities. Which raises the question IF a
CFL why NOT an ionic version?

    4) And perhaps the source of the next bump, we're 5 days from being
30 days into the company's request for a change in OTC listing.

So aside from the emphasis on 'green', we've had exactly none of the
above working on the pps as of 45 days ago. Yeah, it's different this
    time."

  109. Card,
good to see you back. I recommend looking at SPHE (now one of the top 15 boards on I-Hub). The stock traded above one dollar on the London Stock Exchange, then they moved to the Pinks, where the stock is selling for just 0.05, very likely ready to explode, once discovered. Big government contracts (Canada, Morocco, etc.), low float plus the 2009 financials due in February.

    Good luck.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Bighoper, Happy trading to you too of course. Where is the e-mail you said you'd post? Thanks again and Happy New Year.

    ReplyDelete
  111. The dumping in NTEC looks to be over. You could see a nice bounce in that one. It was 20 cents on Christmas Eve.

    ReplyDelete
  112. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  113. SPAH looks like easy money! I'll almost guarantee 20 cents minimum at some point during the next week based on the buying pattern today and the chart from the past month.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Card, SPAH does have an interesting chart. Am I reading it correctly that it just started trading 2 weeks ago and was initially valued at .17 a share?

As posted many times before, I am new to chart reading so I would appreciate any insight into this stock.

I know you don't make predictions you don't fully believe in, so I am really intrigued by your near guarantee of 20 cents covering a stock currently trading at about 9 cents.

    ReplyDelete
  115. RAME probably going to go up another 10% this week. Got an upgrade two days ago.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Tim, the biggest thing to me is the historical volume of SPAH. The stock fell from 17 cents to almost 6 cents on a little over million shares of volume over the last week. Today, the stock has traded over 3 million shares (practically all buys). According to pinksheets, the stock only has 46 million shares outstanding and 7 million in the float. Generally, this is a recipe for the MMs to at some point significantly gap the stock. According to the chart, 20 - 25 cents is really the first resistance level. We'll see if they spike it going up or if they'll do a "dip and spike".

Frank, I've been watching RAME a lot today. I agree with you.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Thanks, Card.

I did some research and got in at .0935.

I've noticed that any time that the price has dipped today, buyers swooped in and shot the price back up in a matter of minutes.

    That is encouraging.

    ReplyDelete
  118. 3 more short lived dips.

I'm liking this stock more and more, Card.

Since it began its ascent, every dip has been met with more buyers pushing the stock even higher.

    ReplyDelete
  119. How do you guys see TDGI? With just the assets of Hanover House valued at .13 and a lot of interest here from investors and MMs this should be just a temporary dip.

Don't you think we'll test .05 pretty soon?

    ReplyDelete
  120. P, TDGI will be volatile, but I still think it'll test the 52 week high at some point.

Tim, I reeeeeeeeeeally like SPAH. A novice would look at today's action and not be impressed, but I think it might have been the strongest stock all day today. This will explode at some point very soon.

    ReplyDelete
  121. What's not to like?

A steady increase of almost 50% in one day.

Other than the dip from .10 to .975 at the very end of the day, every other dip was filled and shot the stock higher.

I'm hoping the trend continues tomorrow with the end of the day dip being filled.

If we could get bighoper1 on board as well, I'd really feel good about this stock.

    ReplyDelete
  122. The gap up to 12 cents killed the momo in SPAH. A lot of people sold into it. It'll be interesting to see if it recovers. My original guarantee is now off the table.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Well, it looks like there were lots of buyers at 9 cents and shares have started to move back up.

My question is whether 12 cents is the price to sell.

I had designs of doubling my money, but I'd be happy with a 33% gain by selling at 12 cents.

p.s. Is there any site that gives current prices on penny stocks like this? Google and Schwab are both delayed by 15 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Tim, your broker will give you LIVE quotes and any good broker will give you LIVE charts where you can have a watch list and followe several stocks and easily view their charts too.

    ReplyDelete
  125. P, I execute all of my trades online and follow the market online. I guess I don't really have a "broker."

I could probably call Charles Schwab Customer Service to get up to the minute quotes, but that's kind of a nuisance.

I was trying to find out if there was an online sources with up to the minute quotes on penny stocks like SPAH.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Tim, your online broker MUST be giving you LIVE quotes. So Schwab must be doing that. If they don't then leave them and go do a broker that does since they ALL do I can't believe Schwab doesn't.

Ameritrade is the BEST for pennies. You get all live quotes and charts plus they have the least restrictions on pennies than any other broker.

If you go to them please tell them tang2021 sent you. That's me.

    Happy New Year

    ReplyDelete
  127. I wonder if IMSC will hit a dollar tomorrow on pure speculation because of their explosive detection business? It's up a lot, but it could go much higher particularly if they put out a PR soon.

Tim, check out my last post on http://yourtradingtips.blogspot.com for places with free real time quotes.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Card, I must be the ultimate cooler on your picks. I've managed to jinx everyone of your recommendations that I've acted on.

I killed SPAH and left a 33% gain on the table.

Now I'm just looking to break even.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Card, where has Bighoper1 been? He's made some great contributions here. I know it's holiday time but he has been here during the holiday so I thought he'd just pop in.

TDGI is on target to hit or break .05 next week.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Whew. Got out of SPAH with just enough to cover commissions and fees. I am kicking myself for not selling at 12 cents. Oh well, I didn't lose anything.

I'm also kicking myself for not getting in on bighoper1's recommendation of LGDI, which is now up to $1.47. Bighoper1 recommended the stock when it was trading at 90 cents.

It has flatlined today, for the first time in quite a while after steadily climbing for months.

Definitely going to keep my eye on it and hopefully buy at a decent pullback price.

    ReplyDelete
  131. It wouldn't shock me if IRSN hit dollar late this afternoon. That's an awful lot of volume for under 11 million shares outstanding. Keep an eye on it.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Card, what site or sites do you check to find out the outstanding shares and float of a stock?

    ReplyDelete
  133. I won't buy any IRSN and ruin it for the rest of you.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Guys,

I am still here, just not posting that much recently. I've been actually busy studying TDGI and it starts to look like a big winner, especially for those who got in at around 1 cent :-) If they uplist and resurrect the Hemdale studio (Terminator, Last Emperor), sky will be the limit. Consolidated financials are due by next Friday.

I'm also liking LIVC at 20 cents. It used to be a $1-$3 stock and insiders are loading up big time. The previous quarter already showed some improvement. Slow mover like LGDI, but definitely moving north. On the flip side, it is not very liquid.

    P,
    my e-mail address is bighoper@mail.com

    I wish you all a great 2010

    ReplyDelete
  135. P, Pinksheets.com has share count for most of the BB and PK stocks. Google Finance is good for the big board stocks.

    I'll check out LIVC, Bighoper.

Just as a heads up to everyone, I'll post a perfect stock selection to start the New Year on Monday before the opening bell. I normally would do it Sunday night, but I'm not sure I'll have time to put it all together by then. Hopefully, I can start the year with a bang!

    ReplyDelete
  136. Card, that's cool but I wish you would wait for another week or so since I have all my money tied up in SKGO and TDGI, both which should really explode in the next week or 2.

Once I sell those I'll get in your next pick. Your picks are notorious for going up at LEAST 50% within a few days if not around 100%. Keep up the great work.

Card, can you PLEASE answer your e-mails at yahoo and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

    ReplyDelete
  137. Card, you are such a tease making us all wait until Monday morning.
